Transparency for Iran is becoming the first non-governmental organization to oversee parliament, which has been trusted by the people and members of parliament, and is responsible for disseminating statistics and information, and educating citizens about the importance of transparency in parliament. Majlesnama will pursue three main goals:

  • Making the parliament and representatives responsible for their decisions and actions;
  • Making the Parliament open and transparent in order to achieve public oversight, better understanding and communication between the people and the representatives, and the possibility for elite participation in the legislative and regulatory processes;
  • Making the parliament more efficient and help it to perform its duties.

In this regard, starting the development of a website for this purpose which named Majlesnama (http://www.majlesnama.ir), and publication of the booklet of the organizations supervising the parliament have been taken.
