Legal Team

Today, one of the most important and necessary measures that the country’s legal system needs is to update the legal literature on the issue of combating corruption and introducing new relevant requirements. One of the most important gaps in the country’s legal literature on this issue is “the lack of a transparency system”. In other words, the special and broad concept of transparency with all its corresponding concepts, which today is considered by international experience as the main and key element in combating corruption, is considered a strange and neglected concept in the country’s literature and legal system.

What, as transparency system, is the main goal of the legal team of Transparency for Iran, includes a set of concepts, each of which complements the puzzles against corruption and the efficiency of the country’s legal system. Some of the most important of these concepts are: transparency, conflict of interest, revolving doors, freedom of information, open data, crowdsourcing, and whistleblowing.

At present, the legal team, along with the elite body of the country’s leading universities on the one hand, and the ability of researchers and specialists in the field of public law, on the other hand, has carried out several projects in line with these goals with various national institutions. Dozens of research and analytical reports, expert advice to law enforcement agencies, and the launch and running of the first non-governmental initiative to oversee the legal duties of the executive branch, are just some of the most important achievements of the legal team of Transparency for Iran. As a result, the Think Tank’s legal team has focused on the effectiveness of Iran’s legal system in combating corruption and the creation of a legal reference in the field of combating corruption at the national and international level.
