Parliamentary Team

The Parliamentary team started its activities in 2015 with the aim of achieving transparency, combating corruption, and improving the performance of the Parliament. As a legislative body of the Islamic Republic of Iran and responsible for oversight over government, it has a special role in governance efficiency, so the team has been working for four years to focus on transparency and other structural reforms, since the team believes that transparency is the first step in improving parliamentary performance and its pathology.

The preparation of a transparency map for the parliament describes the components of transparency in the parliament in 78 items and 12 general categories. Achieving each of these components through education, promotion, and legal preparations, is the main concentration of the team. The main activities of this group are designing and developing a parliamentary system named “Majlesnama”, holding two voluntary transparency campaigns in the elections, holding continuous public demands for transparency of property and assets, salaries and benefits and votes of MPs, and writing three promotional pamphlets in the field of transparency of votes, transparency of election, and parliamentary monitoring organizations (PMOs).
